"Moving Forward" Year-end Appeal

Since 1995, the World Awareness Children’s Museum has continued to expand our programs and services in the community, thanks to generous contributions from supporters like you. In the last 26 years, we have collected over 9,000 cultural and historical artifacts and over 8,000 works of international child-made art. We have welcomed over 100,000 guests, hosted thousands of programs and workshops, and worked with hundreds of schools. Our programs reach from Albany, across the Capital Region of New York, into southern Vermont, and around the country. It is our mission to bring our diverse world to children. To achieve this goal, we rely on the generosity and support of individuals.

COVID-19 & Me

THE PANDEMIC EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE EYES OF CHILDREN

Led by the World Awareness Children’s Museum, students were encouraged to create artworks featuring their experiences throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal of this project is for students to create and display artworks that allow them to reflect on and process their experiences with the changes the COVID-19 pandemic has made in their lives.

International Youth Art Collection

Art is truly the universal language and our permanent collection includes over 7,000 pieces of original children’s art.

The World Awareness Children’s Museum’s mission is to bring our diverse world to children. Its collection is comprised of over 7,000 pieces of children’s art pieces from over 80 countries listed below.

Testimonials

What Folks are Saying

“What an asset to our community! I am thrilled that my daughter is getting to the age where she will be able to fully immerse herself in all the wonderful activities and exhibits within this museum! Even at 21 months old she had a great time (The Japanese tea room being her favorite). I can’t wait to bring her back and plan play dates with friends here!”

Letizia Mastrantoni

“My kids love the museum. It’s where we go on rainy days, for play dates, and for a way to get out of the house all winter long. My kids have enjoyed it from age six months to 8 years and growing! We enjoy all their programming. For parents of kids with sensory issues, there is a kit you can check out from the front desk. This place is a major asset to Glens Falls!”

Kate Austin-Avon

“We have been fans and members of the museum for awhile now but after having my daughter’s 5th birthday party there we are even bigger fans now. The museum did such an amazing job! They made everything so easy and smooth for me. The decorations were beautiful. The theme was Nesting Dolls, so we were able to use the museum’s rich Russian collection.”
