What do you want to know?

How are You dealing with COVID-19?

Please visit our COVID-19 page for more information.

The health and safety of our visitors and staff is our highest priority. In order to keep our hands-on space a welcoming place for all, guests over the age of 3 years are required to wear masks for the duration of their visit. In order to stop the spread of the virus, we:

  • Ask all visitors to take part in a simple health screening before entry
  • Have limited museum capacity to 25%
  • Have upgraded our building’s air filtration system
  • Have made hand sanitizer available throughout the hands-on space
  • Ensure our staff clean thoroughly between timed-ticket sessions
  • Follow best practices with regards to NYS COVID-19 mitigation policies
Can I hold an event at the Museum?

Yes! In many cases we would be happy to host your event through our facility rental program. Make arrangements a minimum of 2 weeks in advance by emailing info@worldchildrensmuseum.org or calling the Museum at 518-793-2773.

I have an idea for a program. Who do I contact?

Great! We love your ideas! Get in touch with us at (518) 793-2773 or email info@worldchildrensmuseum.org.

Are you open during school vacations?

Yes! We are open during most local school vacation weeks and on some Monday holidays during the year, including President’s Day and Columbus Day. Check hours page for info on specific dates.

Is my child a suitable age to enjoy the museum?

The exhibits are primarily designed for children over the age of 3. Elementary school-aged children especially enjoy the hands-on clothing, toys, musical instruments of go!, while teens and adults may find other aspects more engaging (e.g.,: international art and artifacts).

Is go! handicapped-accessible?

Yes! We don’t have an automatic door at the front entrance yet, but our front desk staff will be happy to assist visitors with the door.

Can we bring our stroller in?

Yes! Visitors are free to use umbrella strollers that are narrow enough to maneuver through our exhibit areas. Larger strollers must be parked inside our entryway.

Is photography allowed?

Yes! Take lots of pictures, tweet them and post them on our Facebook page!
