COVID-19 & Me

THE PANDEMIC EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE EYES OF CHILDREN

Led by the World Awareness Children’s Museum, students were encouraged to create artworks featuring their experiences throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

The goal of this project is for students to create and display artworks that allow them to reflect on and process their experiences with the changes the COVID-19 pandemic has made in their lives.

International Youth Art Collection

Art is truly the universal language and our permanent collection includes over 7,000 pieces of original children’s art.

The World Awareness Children’s Museum’s mission is to bring our diverse world to children. Its collection is comprised of over 7,000 pieces of children’s art pieces from over 80 countries listed below.

International Cuisine Dinner & Auction

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is celebrating its 31st Annual International Cuisine and Auction and we will be hosting this year’s event outdoors at the Lake George Festival Commons on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2 to 5 p.m.!

Every year, we host more than 200 guests to dine on a wide array of delicious International Foods and our Raffle, Live and Silent Auctions present a variety of over 80 unique items and experiences for you and your loved ones.

COVID-19 Pandemic Update

The World Awareness Children’s Museum is excited to make 2021 a banner year for our organization. However, due to the rise in COVID numbers in the Upstate NY area, we have decided to cancel our hours for general admission, but will be open for programs with limited capacity. Our offices remain open and we are continuing to produce quality cultural education for children! You can see our free online programs on our “Online Programming” page.

We hope you and your families are safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

Testimonials

What Folks are Saying

“What an asset to our community! I am thrilled that my daughter is getting to the age where she will be able to fully immerse herself in all the wonderful activities and exhibits within this museum! Even at 21 months old she had a great time (The Japanese tea room being her favorite). I can’t wait to bring her back and plan play dates with friends here!”

Letizia Mastrantoni

“My kids love the museum. It’s where we go on rainy days, for play dates, and for a way to get out of the house all winter long. My kids have enjoyed it from age six months to 8 years and growing! We enjoy all their programming. For parents of kids with sensory issues, there is a kit you can check out from the front desk. This place is a major asset to Glens Falls!”

Kate Austin-Avon

“We have been fans and members of the museum for awhile now but after having my daughter’s 5th birthday party there we are even bigger fans now. The museum did such an amazing job! They made everything so easy and smooth for me. The decorations were beautiful. The theme was Nesting Dolls, so we were able to use the museum’s rich Russian collection.”
