Travel through history and discover how people around the world recorded stories, shared ideas, and preserved knowledge long before computers, printers, and books as we know them today!

In this hands-on workshop series, participants will explore ancient forms of communication and create projects inspired by real historical traditions. Children may experiment with cave paintings, clay tablets, papyrus, scrolls, handmade books, and even paper-making while learning how cultures across the world passed stories from one generation to the next.

Each class explores a different chapter in the history of communication. Attend a single workshop or continue the journey through the entire series!

Mondays: July 6–August 10

Young Makers (ages 5–8): 1:00pm

Tween Studio (ages 8–12): 3:00pm
