Global Art Exchange Workshop Series

Become part of the Museum's newest exhibit!
Children ages 8–12 are invited to participate in WACM's Global Art Exchange, a special three-part workshop series inspired by Freedom to Celebrate: Children Sharing Stories Through Art, featuring artwork created by children in Kenya.
Throughout the series, participants will explore artwork from Kenya, learn about freedom, celebration, and cultural identity through art, and create their own original artwork to be displayed in the Museum before being shared with children in Kenya as part of an international youth art exchange.
Participants will:
- Explore artwork created by children in Kenya
- Learn about Kenya and the story behind the art exchange
- Discover how artists use symbols, colors, and imagery to tell stories
- Create original artwork inspired by freedom, celebration, and cultural identity
- Write a short artist statement to accompany their work
- Have their artwork displayed in the Museum as part of a living exhibit
- Share their artwork with children in Kenya through the International Youth Art Exchange

Global Art Exchange Workshop Series

Become part of the Museum's newest exhibit!
Children ages 8–12 are invited to participate in WACM's Global Art Exchange, a special three-part workshop series inspired by Freedom to Celebrate: Children Sharing Stories Through Art, featuring artwork created by children in Kenya.
Throughout the series, participants will explore artwork from Kenya, learn about freedom, celebration, and cultural identity through art, and create their own original artwork to be displayed in the Museum before being shared with children in Kenya as part of an international youth art exchange.
Participants will:
- Explore artwork created by children in Kenya
- Learn about Kenya and the story behind the art exchange
- Discover how artists use symbols, colors, and imagery to tell stories
- Create original artwork inspired by freedom, celebration, and cultural identity
- Write a short artist statement to accompany their work
- Have their artwork displayed in the Museum as part of a living exhibit
- Share their artwork with children in Kenya through the International Youth Art Exchange

In this hands-on workshop series, participants will explore ancient forms of communication and create projects inspired by real historical traditions. Children may experiment with cave paintings, clay tablets, papyrus, scrolls, handmade books, and even paper-making while learning how cultures across the world passed stories from one generation to the next.

Global Art Exchange Workshop Series

Become part of the Museum's newest exhibit!
Children ages 8–12 are invited to participate in WACM's Global Art Exchange, a special three-part workshop series inspired by Freedom to Celebrate: Children Sharing Stories Through Art, featuring artwork created by children in Kenya.
Throughout the series, participants will explore artwork from Kenya, learn about freedom, celebration, and cultural identity through art, and create their own original artwork to be displayed in the Museum before being shared with children in Kenya as part of an international youth art exchange.
Participants will:
- Explore artwork created by children in Kenya
- Learn about Kenya and the story behind the art exchange
- Discover how artists use symbols, colors, and imagery to tell stories
- Create original artwork inspired by freedom, celebration, and cultural identity
- Write a short artist statement to accompany their work
- Have their artwork displayed in the Museum as part of a living exhibit
- Share their artwork with children in Kenya through the International Youth Art Exchange
