“Help Complete the Picture” Fundraiser
For the next few months, we’re inviting our community to take part in a simple, hands-on fundraiser happening right here in the museum: Help Complete the Picture. In our lobby, you’ll find a large board covered in numbered squares. Each square represents a donation amount. Beneath the board is a hidden image—revealed one piece at a time as donations are made. Together, we’ll uncover the full picture.
How it works
- Choose a square you’d like to sponsor.
- Donate the amount shown on that square.
- Peel and reveal! A staff member—or your child, with a little help—will peel back the square.
- Watch as a small part of the image underneath is revealed.
- As more squares are sponsored, more of the picture comes to life. Over time, our entire community will help uncover the full image—one square at a time.
Bonus: You Could Win!
Each donation includes one raffle entry for a chance to win:
- A reproduction of one of our artworks
- A Family Level Membership
- A Free Birthday Party at the Museum
Five winners will be announced, and each winner will choose their preferred prize at the time of drawing.
Why Families Love It
The reveal is the most exciting part—especially for kids.
It’s interactive, visual, and immediate. Children get to physically peel back a square and see their contribution in action. They may even spot the piece of the picture they helped uncover on a future visit! Giving becomes something they can see, touch, and celebrate.
A Few Helpful Notes
This is an on-site fundraiser only (no app or online version).
- Names are not placed on the board—the focus is on completing the picture together.
- To keep the board neat and organized, squares may only be peeled with staff approval.
